New Zealand in urgent danger of software patents
The director of the End Software Patents campaign Ciaran O'Riordan writes:
The New Zealand government has proposed allowing unlimited software patenting. They are accepting comments until July 2nd, but participation from the people who will be harmed seems very low.

Trend Micro have issued a patent infringement lawsuit against Barracuda Networks, who use ClamAV on their products, claiming that it is infringing its U.S.-patent on software that filters out viruses on Internet gateway computers.
